Road Trip 2018

I.               Introduction

International Business Club just had a wonderful road trip to KDARD LA TENTE which located in Kampot province for 1 night and 2 days on 03-04^th of February, 2018. This road trip was led by project chair, Ms. Phal Kovheng and it consisted of 30 participants include mixtures of IBC members and CamEd students with the purpose of collaborating to improve the part of educating system by providing study materials to the local learners. Moreover, all participants also involved in offering an Italian main dishes, spaghetti to the kids. Besides contributing our love to the local kids, organizers of this event also lead a spiritual bonding trip for the whole club.

II.             Purposes

-      Assisting students there about some important general knowledge both mentally and spiritually

-       Distributing study materials and clothes to students who are in need

-       providing support to their education journey

-       delivering a chance for local students in Kdard commune to taste an Italian recipe, Spaghetti

-       developing members’ team spirit and bonding team

-       Having a pleasure movement with each other in the whole club before term end.

III.           Activities

First day in Kdard La Tente, all participants prepared a delighted lunch which was spaghetti with the local children in Kdard Commune. The proceeding of this project seemed to be exhausting yet exciting to cook this meal by their compassion. Moreover, we also had a small talk with the kids to understand their living standard in the commune. Additionally, we taught them many weighty lessons about health care, education and general knowledge in the society which they were pleased to gain from us. After this meaningful lunch, all participants distributed some necessary study materials to assist their studies and to motivate them to study hard in order to be resourceful people for our country.

Besides donation, organizers also prepared some team building games for participants in order to develop team spirit, Intellectual mindset, problem solving, decision making… etc. All members were playing with smile and were joyful with the games we prepared for. During the sunset, we prepared ourselves ready for a wonderful dinner in an open-air field of Kdard La Tente which was the most sensational movement we’ve ever had together. Finishing dinner, we continued another activity of floating the lantern at the shore and made wishes. First day had been gone in the expressive way with many unforgettable activities.

Coming to the second day, every participants was ready to discover new place and taste new experience of journey as a team. After having a fresh breakfast, we continued our journey to Anglung kheav of Kampot province which required participants to walk through the forest 2km. It developed members to be patient and challenging with obstacles in order to recover an amazing place which was worth to visit. Afterward, we went back to have lunch at Kdard La Tente and prepared our stuffs departing from Kampot to Phnom Penh. On the way back home, we also had a great opportunity to visit Organic Kampot pepper farm which is called La Plantation. This opportunity provided us to learn and understand about some process of running pepper farm as well as knowledge on agriculture in overall.

IV.           Result

All the participants arrived Phnom Penh safe and sound and the trip ended smoothly as expected. Lastly, we, International Business Club would like to thanks all participants included members in International Business Club as well as CamEd students that had spent their valuable time of 2 days 1 night to join our road trip and made this trip happen this year. Also, we will never forget to thanks our supporting partner, CamEd Business School that always takes care of our club and strongly supports every event of us. Without all of you, this trip could not run well as planned.
