Footprint Of Business

Introduction

Footprint Of Business was one of the events that was organized by International Business Club and held on 27th, August 2017 at 8 to11 am in CamEd Business School. “Footprint Of Business” is a mini forum which focused on how to start up business, the benefit of business plan and risk and failure that young entrepreneurs take in order to make a business successfully . The purpose of the event is to make sure that all participants absorbed the knowledge from the experience people. It was mainly held to suit people who wanted to experience in starting up new business. This event involved participants from various university students and also employees who want to learn and get to know more about how to start up a new business. Furthermore, we noticed that the audiences were interested in our topic since they were willing to join our event in exchange for getting the knowledge in process of running business.

This event had a great honored to invite two potential guest speakers to present under the different topics. The first guest speaker was Mr. Sok Lak, who was the Co- founder of Scholar Library. The second guest speaker was Mr. Thai Vantha, founder of @home photography.

Sharing session

Firstly, the opening remark of the event was presented by Mr. Kong Kirivann, Co- president of International Business Club. Next, Mr. Sok Lak was responsible for presenting about his risk and failure of his business. At the beginning, he described about his own background as well as his work experience. He used to be a journalist and failed many times in his work. He feels disappointed but he never gave up on his work life. Although he went through many obstacles, he still had a vision in his mind to open up a business. Finally, with his vision, he now become a Co-founder of Scholar Library which is going to succeed in Cambodia’s society. Moreover, he also led and coordinate 100+ social projects and events. Because of those struggles make Mr. Sok Lak become stronger and go strength to his vision until he succeed. Due to Mr. Sok Lak’s career experiences, we are able to understand that nobody is always success but there are people who fail many times yet never give up and success.

After having a break for 10 minutes, our event was continued by Mr Thai Vantha. Firstly, he revealed about his own background, his passionate about photography and how he built his own brand at first. He described his passionate as something that it might seem impossible to achieve but at the end he accomplished it with all of his efforts. Moreover, he emphasized about purpose and profit that when a business have a clear and specific purpose, the profit will come to the business by its own. In addition, planning is a must thing to do as well as the first step in order to achieve those two objectives. More than focusing on the planning, he explained that choosing the person to work with wisely is also play the main part in opening a business. Without a good manpower, the business will not run smoothly as planning and it might damage our business if we do not take action and manage them well. Last but not least, all those factors that he mentioned above make his business successful and become one of the famous brand for photography in Cambodia. Also, he gave us some tip about how to start up the business with no money. Through Mr Thai Vantha’s work experience, we can say that finding a life purpose is very essential and we have to make sure that we are doing something toward our goal or objectives.

Conclusion

To sum up, Footprint Of business were happened decently by the support from our guest speakers as well as the participants who sacrificed their time and effort for joining with us. Additionally, many participants were really fascinating with the topic and continue to stay in our event until the end. More than joining with us, our participants got a chance to win a lucky draw such as string bag, as a gift from our event. At the end of the event, we had photo session which allow the audiences to take pictures with the guest speakers and closing remark was represented by Miss Sokha Boravy, Vice President of Club Activity Department in International Business Club.
