KHMER BEVERAGES CO., LTD

Chip Mong Group is a huge firm, which set up in 1982, and it consists of many companies, including Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd that has established in 2009. Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd has been spreading throughout in international world for years. The company’s original name was Khmer Brewery Co., Ltd, as it produced only beer or alcohol drink, but now it is changed to Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd, since its production includes non-alcohol drink such as pure water, energy drink, soda, and other beverages, which are about 18 types of beverage in total in order to fulfill market’s demand in Cambodia.
Since it established until now, the company has invested three times. First, it invested 60 million dollars with capacity production of 0.5 million hectoliters per year. Second, it added 40 million dollars with result of 1.5 million hectoliters capacity production per year. Third, it put more 60 million dollars with result in increasing to 5 million hectoliters per year for beer production, and for other drinks like non-alcohol drinks and energy drink it can produce 2 million hectoliter per year.

Vision
Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd vision is by 2020 KHB brewery wants to be able to efficiently produce and supply 5 million hectoliters of beer and 2 million hectoliter of non-alcoholic drinks with the best quality and service to our customers, with zero complaints and zero accidents.

Mission
Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd, its mission is to establish an efficient and inspired organization through the application of world-class operation management systems to achieve a culture of continuous improvement for processes, people development and zero losses.

Success of the business
After Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd has been ran for 2 years, in 2011, the company had achieved 5 international medals and 2 ISO Certificates for its standard brewing, quality and taste. Meantime, the company always pays high attention to all productions, especially during the process of making. They always test their products before selling to their customers and if the company found any products that happen to appear any problems, they will take an immediate action to solve it. For damaged products, they will keep them in different zones, and take examination on it to see what is the issue, and whether they could solve it or not. They would destroy the spoilt ones if they could not abolish the issue in order not to harm their customers. In case their products were already sold out to consumers, and they just explore the problem, they will fetch those goods back, and return some payment or compensation to comfort victims for being hurt by their products.
Meanwhile, Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd not only focuses for its production, it also cares about its employee abilities by creating a short training class which called Corporate Academic in purpose of training all level of employees and employers to know about current business situation as well as in the future in order to develop their workers’ skill and company itself. Additionally, the company nurtures the idea of their employees with responsibility, optimistic, ability, flexibility in solving problems and English skill. In 2016, Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd sent 24 of their employees to Germany in order to learn more about technicality.
Nowadays, the company runs 24 hours and divides working schedule into 4 shifts, first turn from 6 am - 2 pm, second turn from 2 pm -10 pm, third turn from 10 pm -6 am, and fourth responses the first shift two days, the second shift two days, the third shift two days, and two day for holiday. The total employee within the company is 395 workers, including cleaners, canteen workers and others.
In order to produce beer, Khmer Beverages Co., Ltd uses only four main raw materials: malt, hops, yeast, and water, and some other additional ingredients such as rice, which is included only a small amount for Cambodia beer, in the aim of assisting Cambodians farmers, and to encourage local production as well. Additionally, the company uses state water supply, and it has 3 big tanks for storage, which each of it could store 6500m3 that could only supply water for 4 hours.
