with the bottling partners, Coca-Cola ranks among the world's top 10 private
employers with more than 700,000 system associates.
Nostalgically, Mr. John Pemberton, who was a phamacist, stirred up a
fragrant, caramel-colored liquid, but then Mr. Frank Robinson named the mixture
Coca-Cola. In 1892, Mr. Asa G-Candler had bought the formular and all rights in
a total cost of 2,300 USD, then it was sold to a group of business people led
by Ernest Woodruff in 1919 for 25
million USD and presently, it is sold by its shares. Surprisingly, there is an
amazing museum, which is located in Coca-Cola's Headquater at Atlanta, could
store the products that are consisted of its logo, and we could test 3500
flavours in these 129 years long over 200 more countries.

In
Cambodia, Coca-Cola started up with the first sales record in 1963, then TCCC
returned to Cambodia with local production line and distribution center in the
later 30 years. In 1997, CAN Pack was introduced and there was investment of 30
million USD to install new CAN and PET Lines. Recently, Coca-Cola has just
invested a project which cost 100 million USD to build new factory in PPSEZ.
They strengthen the relationship with the government and they also got
the recognition from Ministry of Industry, Mine and Energy as the Green
Industry, in which makes sure the whole process of the operation is well-treated
and friendly to the environment. In
addition, Coca-Cola signed the MOU with Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) not to be
corrupted in any illegal laws. It was honable to be chosen as the Best business
man from General Department of Taxation who follows both American and Cambodian
regulations. Furthermore, there was a MOU bewtween Coca-Cola and the Ministry
of Industry and Handicraft for training and encouraging the local
handicraftsmen to meet the standard last year, and got the big honor to be
discussed with Prime Minister on 100 million USD investment to build new
factory in order to develop Cambodia's economy.
Coca-Cola has begun with the 2020 sustainability commitments by
following "Me, We, World" strategy. For "Me", it goes to
enhance personal well-being. Coca-Cola offers the low or no-calories beverage
optionsip in every market, helps to get people moving by supporting physical
activity programs, provides transparent nutrition information and does
responsible marketing withiout advertisement to children under 12 years old
anywhere in the world. "We" is
the second strategy to do a very good Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR),
which is not only focused on the profit, but we have to concern on our people
and build stronger communities. Coca-Cola has associated with Women and Human
& Workplace Rights to empower across 5 million women entrepreneurs in 2020
with Cambodian Women Entrepreneurship Association (CWEA) and comply with Human & Workplace Rights
standards. It has built the partnership with AIESEC to provide the
platform for Cambodian Youth to build
their leadership potential and the partnership with Junior Chamber
International (JCI) to empower young active citizens who share the belief to
make the positive changes engaging from community development to international
projects. For "World", Coca-Cola has always protected the
environment. Regarded to the water, it
will replenish 100% of water used in our finished products and will improve the
water efficiency 25% compared to 2010 baseline. For climate protection, it will
reduce the carbon footprint of the drink in your hand 25% and the way to
sustainable agriculture is to get sustainable source key agriculture
ingredients. What is more, Coca-Cola supported more than 500 families in Pre
Sdey to access to clean water with UN-HABITAT and dealed with "Graduate In
Training (GIT)" program to equip the fresh graduates with the necessary
skills and training.
