Guest Speaker Background: Mr.Eng Mong

Currently working as Managing Director and has been working since 2005 from a temporary worker in accounting when studying in year 4. From accounting to every aspect of work in the department. There was only 60 people in accounting back then. In 2015 there will be around 400 – 500 workers. Have been working for 4 year as managing director. Finished bachelor in economy (2005), marketing (scholarship).

-Company: Lyly Food industries Co ltd. Born May 2002 with 27 workers + owner. Vision: to export product to foreign countries.

-Product: The product quality are follow through the Japanese standard of quality and sanitation in order to help children and pregnant women with nutrient and this all happened because we discussed it with Organization and doctors. It also provides job opportunities to many people whether they are poor, disabled, or illiterate. Lyly is supported by many other company/organisation such as APO Japan.

Q:Why Lyly practice project like these?

A:Because these project help being benefit such as:

-CP,Energy Efficiency: save money by conserving energy,ISO501 (v 2006):

-In 2008, a Japanese expert provide help with quality and sanitation for 6 months for free.

-When someone provide help to us and we make it a success, they will keep supporting us.

-In 2009, vitamin A was sponsored.

-JICA is currently helping Lyly

-3 current products: 100r, 200r (4 flavor), 500r.

Distribute to all provinces and cities but some has limit stocks due to difficulty of transportation.

Distribute to Myanmar, US, and recently being ordered by VN (pending contract).Future to all ASEAN countries and Europe.A Sample sent to Italy, Australia, Germany and pending for feedback.

Q:Is the packaging different or same when distributing abroad such as Myanmar?

A: For Myanmar doesn’t have much requirements, so the packaging is the same,But for US, the requirements are a lot so the design is different. FDA:(Food Draft Adminitration)

Q:What documents are required for export?

A:Export, Control survey,…..Transportation duration: to US (29 days). To Myanmar(19 days)

Our company allow students even from abroad to have field trip since our old factory. (ITC, Norton, NUM, PUC).If busy and info not provided not sufficient, report made the students will be misleading so a field trip will be refuse.

Q;How many Award did Lyly received?

A: Lyly received industry gold award.

In 2013, won award in 1st place. 

In 2014, sample was sent to Belgium for quality testing and won gold medal.

Q: How many Lyly product sold per year?

A:Sold 400T/year, Pkar Malis rice 800T,For new factory nearly 2000T.

Q:Will lyly industries planning to expand in the future?

A:Yes, we're planning on building 89m x 114m. Office building 300,000$

Sale Price abroad is higher. Amount and market affect the export price.

Currently produce 5T/day but in new location 15T/day so if stock is not empty, production is halted.

Q:How can the industries handle waste?

A:There is no waste but only malfunction in process so it is recycled. Each month probably 1 Ton and are sold if can’t be recycled.

Q:Why is Lyly competing so easily?

A:Lowering cost by making product better quality, saving, conserving. Profit gain from quantity so better quality in product => more demand.We got supplier of packaging : 3

Q:Will Lyly looking forward to product other products?

A;Want to produce drinks but unable to, at least not now. We want to.
