World BrighE Commerce Co.,Ltd – MAIO mall
WorldBridgE commerce Co., Ltd has been registered at Cambodia Ministry of Commerce in 2014.WorldBridgE Commerce or WBC is a proud member of the large Family WorldBridge International Group of Companies. WBE is planning to launch its new MAIO – My All In One mall in April.
This mall will provide all sort of supply from cars, electronic gadgets
(Xiaomi), booking services, clothes (Adidas) to groceries. According to the
CEO, there are many ways that he was planning to advertise MAIO. First of all,
MAIO will bring in quality and high-end product such as real converse in order
to grab customers’ trusts and popularity from the public. Secondly, one way of
attract more people to know about MAIO is to advertise through social network
such as through TV channel, YouTube, Facebook and so on. Thirdly, the CEO of
WBC mentioned that even though online advertising is important, the face to
face advertisement can’t be ignored. So he said that he also plan to set prior
advertising campaign by giving out broachers to places like high school and
cafe around Phnom Penh.
Furthermore, for marketing
perspective, they are planning to install virtual mirror – a device that allow
customers to try on clothes virtually in cafe like Gongcha, Brown and Aeon
mall. This year, WBC’s goal is to become a trusted and nation-wide e commerce
that will be able to deliver products to every provinces nation-wide. Besides,
in the next 5 years, MAIO have two main goals that they want to accomplish.
First of all, they are planning to sell local handmade products to abroad.
Secondly, since it usually takes such a long time to deliver products from
Amazon, MAIO’s ambition is to become Amazon’s reseller, in order to shorten
time for delivering products to Cambodia.
In addition, they are also sharing with us some of
the difficulties that the team met in order to run an e-commerce. Firstly, they
are mentioned that it is very hard to get the trust from customers and to
penetrate into the market since some people are still skeptical about an idea
of purchasing products online. Secondly, it is also hard to get a license from
the ministry of commerce because in Cambodia, it is still unable to register as
an e-commerce. The last problem is that there is a lack of people with IT skill
in Cambodia compared to China. They mentioned that it took them a long time to
find an IT team equipped with creative and innovative.
There are also 3 main
points that threaten the company:
- Outsource
- Market resource
- Budget (Financial resource): they don’t expect profits for the first 15 to 36 months. Their first goal is to make people know about them and trust their service first.
